This position is within the capital advisory team of F.INSTITUTE which covers the strategic finance activities for ventures and high-growth companies. The solutions of the capital advisory team concentrate on transactional finance events like capital raises ranging from EUR 5- 150m, strategic deals and exit events, as well as taking on MT roles (CFO) within the venture for a defined period of time.

You will be responsible for

• General contribution to carrying out activities within the Capital Advisory team;

• Developing financial scenarios for customers;

• Preparing Board meetings;

• Contributing to the execution of capital rounds;

• Analyzing the market and competition;

• Preparation of the marketing materials for investors, debt providers or strategic partners. This includes preparing teasers, investor decks, investment memoranda and a virtual data room environment;

• Structuring and building revenue and valuation models;

• Support in financial activities of non-dilutive financing instruments;

• Support in the Sales process, preparatory work and follow-ups.

What you bring to the table

• Masters degree in scientific/technical domain (e.g. Life Sciences, Engineering, Biobased Sciences) with demonstrated affinity with finance and/or the commercial landscape. Supplemental education / courses in finance is preferred.

• 3 years of relevant work experience in the financial/commercial field, e.g. in investments (venture capital or private equity), investment banking/CF or strategy consulting. We will also consider candidates who have founded their own business or worked in a relevant start- or scale up/innovative environment;

• Strong analytical thinking and accuracy are essential, diligence is key;

• Ability to learn on the job and (re)produce valuations, financial models and decks or review and navigate legal documentation and due diligence, in teamwork with the rest of the Capital Advisory team;

• Self-starting, can perform multiple tasks and prioritize effectively, assertive, results driven with a high level of professional and commercial flair. A dose of personality is welcome;

• The ability to 'connect' and build a trusted relationship with entrepreneurs and managers is a must.
