About the role

We are seeking a Manager Accounting to join our dynamic team. This position is for our branch in The Netherlands, as hands-on manager for the accounting processes. You will collaborate closely with a diverse and international group of clients and colleagues across the Netherlands and the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading a team of experienced accounting professionals, fostering expertise and accountability, and managing the financial processes for our clients regarding accounting, payroll, monthly- and annual closing

• Addressing complex accounting matters, valuation issues, and tax-related questions

• Conducting periodic reviews of monthly and annual closings to maintain compliance and quality standards

• Being involved in the onboarding and setup of new clients

• Being part of cross-functional project teams focused on further automation and process optimization

• Compiling annual financial statements (NL-GAAP) and safeguarding the quality of year-end reporting

• Managing the corporate income tax process and ensuring timely, compliant execution

• Support with external audits by coordinating requested documentation, leading technical discussions and driving an efficient audit process

What you bring to the table

• Educational Background:

  • HBO Accounting or similar

  • 3+ years of proven working experience in a similar role as Account Manager in an accounting firm (MKB/ non-audit, optional including audit)

• Experience:

  • Track record with various reporting and accounting software (Exact Online primarily)

  • Knowledge with complex funding and equity structures and subsidy presentation

  • Experience with managing a team

  • Familiar with Dutch Tax ruling regar

  • Affinity with Life Sciences and Tech businesses is a significant advantage.

• Skills:

  • Strong analytical, strategic, and financial modeling skills.

  • Confident communicator including excellent proficiency in Dutch and English language

  • Able to liaise with stakeholders both internally and externally

  • The ability to work both in a team and independently, self-starter and high on follow up

• Mindset: Entrepreneurial spirit, results-driven, adaptable, and collaborative, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
