About the role
We are seeking a Start-up SaaS Financial Controller to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who loves being close to the numbers, enjoys building dashboards, models and dataflows, and thrives in early-stage environments where financial operations need to be set up the right way from day one.
You will work as an embedded controller for a portfolio of B2B SaaS clients, helping them establish clean financial foundations- subscription metrics, revenue recognition, forecasting workflows, management reporting, and operational finance processes.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and maintain financial operations for early-stage SaaS clients, including subscription dataflows, invoicing, and revenue recognition.
Build and optimize SaaS reporting packs, focusing on ARR/MRR, churn, retention, CAC payback, and other KPI dashboards.
Ensure clean, accurate, and timely financial data across systems (accounting, billing, FP&A).
Manage monthly closes, variance analyses, and management reporting.
Develop and maintain financial models tailored to SaaS business dynamics.
Implement and improve financial tools across our SaaS tech stack- billing systems, FP&A tooling, dashboards, and integrations.
Work with clients to define scalable processes as they move from founder-led ops to structured financial workflows.
Support pricing model updates, cohort analysis, and unit economics calculations.
Act as the day-to-day financial sparring partner for founder.
What you bring to the table
Educational Background:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, accounting, or a related field.
Experience:
2–5 years of experience in financial controlling, FP&A, accounting, or operational finance.
Experience with SaaS or subscription-based business models is a hard requirement.
Comfortable working with scale-ups or start-ups (fast pace, evolving processes).

Experience with financial systems, dashboards, or data analytics tools is preferred.
Skills:
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
Understanding of SaaS metrics, revenue recognition, and operational finance.
Ability to design clear dashboards and reporting structures.
Excellent communication skills- able to simplify and explain financial concepts to founders.
